Yearly Maintenance
Every year, as weather and budgeting permit, Ogden City's Streets Division will perform maintenance on a number of streets throughout the city. This maintenance includes:
- Crack Sealing (sealing cracks in the street with tar as a waterproofing measure to slow and prevent damage and deterioration to the pavement)
- Chip Sealing (coating the road with fresh tar and installing a layer of gravel over the top)
- Mill & Overlay (grinding the top 2 inches off of the top of a road and replacing it with a new layer of asphalt pavement)
